The federal budget deficit for the 1st quarter reached 3.4 trillion rubles. This is 20% more than the planned annual deficit. While everyone was thinking that things couldn't get any worse and calculating how many months the National Welfare Fund would be enough to cover the deficit, or how much the ruble would depreciate to compensate for the losses, the Ministry of Finance published the figures for the consolidated budget (federal budget + budgets of all regions).
